Imagine a situation:
You have been handcuffed. You are crying, shouting and screaming but no one is there to pay attention towards you. You are trying to see if anyone can see you and save you but everyone is indifferent towards you. Now a man with a big and very sharp knife in his hands is approaching you. You get intimidated but without showing any pity on you he pushes you down on the floor and takes hold of your neck very tightly. You know what he is up to and also you know no one is there to even listen to your painful cry. Now he puts that knife on your neck and pushes the knife’s blade strongly into your skin. Blood starts flowing out but he doesn’t stop and pushes the knife more harder that cuts your vocal cord and chops your neck bone. Then more harder and harder to finally behead you. You are agonizing in irresistible and intolerable pain because you are still not dead. But this is not the end. After beheading you, in no time he peels off the skin from rest of your body and starts chopping the body into pieces. Till now you were alive and suffered all that gruesome pain.

They say that the nation is developing, and is progressing, but for whom? Who is getting the most benefit out of the nation’s progress, when we see that there are deaths due to starvations, when there are youth lying unemployed, when there are exploited labors, and when there are 50% below poverty. We should ask, who is getting the most benefits, where is the money being invested in, but we do not, still wherever it is invested in, but its for sure it is not invested in the benefit of the needed, its not invested in the upliftment of the poor, its not invested for those who really need it, because there are no results of the investment the Govt. does, as it says.

Unleashing the hidden energy of youth for blowing winds of changes globally.

“Youth”, the word itself contains that enormous amount of energy which can blow the slow winds of required changes at those tremendous velocities, that the change can be guaranteed. In the unpredictable time of today, one thing that is certain is that only the youths of today can project the world into the desired future of greatest humanity, provided that the youths learn from the gone time, i.e. past, speaks in present while incubating the visions of a great future in their inner selves. Asia and Europe were and are the cradles of great importance to the whole world. At times they have proved their existence to the universe, and have gifted humanity at times with great discoveries, theories, religions, persons, culture and the list goes on, these continents were even devastated at times and were also the greatest war fields of the world, but like the phoenix which reincarnates itself from its ashes, they stood again and again, and that is what the real meaning of being human, reincarnating and reconstructing.

Social Media

Social Media

Social media has come a long way. Some people have just used it and some have misused it. And few have gained too. Social Media can be a powerful tool if used effectively. Many Social media sites like Facebook, FriendFeed, and Twitter (list is not exhaustive) help you to reach millions. Social Media has gone from the days of Orkut, where you had your personal page on World Wide Web to the stage of Market Networking, giving you a strategic platform to reach millions of audience without or less expenditure and in lesser number of minutes spent.

The major reason that why Social Media has been a huge success is because the people who indulge themselves in this area believe, either knowingly or unknowingly, in ALTRUISM. The basic reason for the success of Web 2.0 is its altruistic nature. The desire to help and be helped. That is why I, and many others, like to call Web 2.0 as Altruist Web.

Blogging(WordPress, Blogger) and Micro-blogging(Twitter) have helped people to say what is in their mind and reach out to millions.

Bookmarking sites have helped people to share links of an article they liked.

In short everything which comes under Social Media realm is running because of altruism. I have never met most of the co-authors on this blog. We just met online through social networking sites like Pagalguy,  Facebook, and Orkut. And at some point thought that we can start something together and what else a Weblog – a Blog. And that is how this started. A social media running on Web2.0 gave way to another social media.

After centuries of feudalism and then attaining nationhood, we are marching into the era of “Webhood”. I just coined this term. It is powerful, more powerful than Nationhood. In Webhood, people belonging to different caste, creed, race, religion, and nation come together to form an altruist society which may or may not meet physically but are involved in sharing, helping and networking resources available with them with the society.

Let’s hope that Webhood will bring masses from different nations together and help in bringing the beautiful earth – Our Mother, more beautiful.
